Baby Sitting in Korea
Right before I arrived in Korea, there was a death in a family which required Heather and Kevin to travel to the states for the funeral. Fortunately, I would be in town in time which allowed them to travel while I watched their cute kids. I was pretty stressed that something bad would happen while they were gone but everything went just fine.
I tried to do activities that would make all the kids happy, but when it came down to it, I had to keep Monster happy. A screaming child would frustrate everyone. With the older girls, we would watch movies, check the mail, play games, try new makeup styles, new hair styles, or try to get friends to hang out with them. Once, we even got to make cookies! Big Sis is especially good at making cookies.
I quickly learned that what makes babysitting for an extended period of time easier is having a schedule filled with things to do. Every morning at 6:30, I would wake up to help Monster get his day started with breakfast. I liked to ask him what he wanted to eat and one day, he said "Black Avengers Cheerios."
They're Reese's Puffs.
Painting was one of the kids' favorite activities. They could easily paint for two hours! Thank goodness they were able to sit still long enough for me to change clothes and put in my contacts. I have always had a respect for mothers but this experience changed everything for me! I don't know how parents do it!

I quickly learned that the easiest way to get Monster in a good mood was to let him play with the "silly faces" on Snapchat. There are all these filters that can make anyone look like anything. He hated the one where he looked like a grown man but he still laughed when it came up.
I was expecting Monster's bath time to be difficult, because what young child likes baths or showers anyway? Apparently, he loved them if he was able to wear his Spiderman goggles. It was crazy cute!

The park became my favorite place; all the kids were easily entertained when we went, especially when we brought the dog.
One day, we were able to go bowling! When Monster hit any amount of pins, he would scream "I got a good shot!" Little A liked to send messages to people bowling in other lanes--especially her sisters!
We were able to meet up with a bunch of friends one day to get a treat at the BX and there was free pizza and balloons! The kids loved this, which meant that I really loved it. All I wanted was for the kids to be happy, healthy, and safe.
One of the main activities that kept us busy was Little A's taekwando class. Monster loved to participate in many ways. Little A was working on getting her black belt so we spent a lot of time trying to get ready for her big test! I wish I had more pictures of Little A doing her taekwando, but I mostly have videos of her hard work.
After the littles would go to bed, Big Sis, M&M, and I would stay up late and watch a movie. We spent a few nights watching the movies in the Hunger Games series. I forgot how scary they are!
When Heather and Kevin came home to Korea, everyone was so excited that they made it back safe. I loved taking care of my cute cousins, but I sure was stressed that something would go wrong. Even if something would have gone wrong, there were so many people who were willing to help me out if something were to happen. Heather and Kevin have so many incredible people in their lives with cute kids to boot.
